Bridelight Financial Advisors, (formerly Senior Financial Advisors), is an independent, privately owned financial advisory and financial planning firm. Our founder, Bill Leavitt, formed our team to help retirees and families bridge the gap between their current financial lives and future goals with a clear strategic path. We have over 20 years of industry experience and solely dedicate our efforts to helping clients take control of their financial futures.
As an independent, fiduciary firm, we’ve always put the needs of our clients first—and we’re also free from corporate office pressures and distractions. We do not have proprietary products or services, nor do we provide one-size-fits-all relationships. As our client, your financial wellbeing is at the center of your support.

    Lucy is the newest member of our team. She brings to Bridgelight Financial Advisors. the exceptional client service skills she gained in financial services through multiple roles as operations manager and client service manager. Her current focus is supporting clients at the highest possible level with friendliness and a positive attitude.

    Lucy and her husband enjoy hiking, kayaking, and fishing. She has two daughters and is a proud grandparent. She also enjoys volunteering which includes offering practical help in her community, disaster relief, and vital spiritual care.

    Jeanne comes to us with dedication to caring for our clients. She brings many years of client relations to Bridgelight Financial Advisors. With a warm smile and inviting personality, she is dedicated to helping clients in everything she does. She has more than 15 years experience working for a public accountant in tax preparation, bookkeeping, and client services.

    Jeanne is a lifelong resident of Connecticut and lives with her husband and black lab Maya. She has three adult children and enjoys yoga, the beach, and spending time with her family.

    Bill Leavitt, President of Bridgelight Financial Advisors, is a Registered Investment Advisor and Financial Planner with over 18 years of experience. He specializes in working with pre-retirees, retirees, professionals, and women investors, helping them navigate a complicated and ever-changing investment landscape. As an independent, fee-based advisor, Bill provides personalized, objective, and unbiased recommendations that are best suited to his clients’ needs. His focus is on representing his clients’ interests first and not on specific financial institutions or investment products.

    Bill Leavitt has a deep-rooted passion for helping people that started as a young boy. He transformed this compassion into a career working for his family’s ambulance company as a first responder. During this experience, Bill noticed many retirement-age individuals needing deeper help to assist them in their lives, including with their finances. When he entered into financial services, he decided to dedicate his career to helping retired individuals and their families plan for their financial futures.

    Working almost exclusively with affluent retirees, Bill serves his clients using his own unique financial planning model, The Wealth Focus™ Process, where he helps clients develop their long-term wealth strategy in four comprehensive steps. His process takes an all-inclusive approach to planning that incorporates insurance, legal, and accounting needs in addition to investments. Some of these decisions revolve around making investments that will help create a hedge against outliving their income, the impact of inflation, taxation, and rising healthcare costs.

    A Connecticut native, Bill resides in Southern Connecticut with his wife, Laura, and their three daughters.

  • Mauriel Vega Financial Advisor

    Mauriel brings to us a true passion and commitment to helping our clients. As a Registered Investment Advisor Representative, Mauriel currently holds his Series 66 registration. He graduated from Florida International University with a B.A. in Business Management. He is a proud graduate of the New Haven Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Program.

    His experiences working for TIAA-CREF and Caban Financial provided him with many opportunities to build strong, positive client relationship skills. His knowledge of various aspects of college planning, cash flow analysis, insurance, and investment research make him an asset in helping our clients accomplish their financial goals and objectives. He has an ongoing desire to educate people on proven financial strategies and investment options available to achieve their personal and unique financial goals.

    Born in Nicaragua, and raised in Miami, Florida, Mauriel relocated to Connecticut in 2010. He has a lifelong love for baseball and can be seen playing competitively on weekends. He also enjoys a variety of other sports, being outdoors, spending time with his family, and coaching his daughter in soccer. He lives in Woodbridge with his wife, their two young children, and dog Siena.

    Jean joined Bridgelight Financial Advisors in July 2017. Her many years in Operational Management has provided her with extensive Customer Service experience, as well as Microsoft Office skills, to help support the multi-faceted and diverse needs of the business. Jean has spent over 25 years working in contact centers, first as a call center representative and eventually progressing to a Director of Operations.

    Jean, a resident of Shelton CT, was born and raised in South Africa and immigrated to the USA in 1980 with her family. Jean obtained a BA in Psychology and Masters in Market Research and Advertising at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
